Venus and the Pleiades, also called the Seven Sisters, crossed paths in early April 2012. The bright evening star is much closer than the star cluster, which sits 444 light-years away. This image shows the conjunction from Portal, Arizona. Even the brightest Pleiades stars are fainter than Venus.
