The Opportunity rover spent four months of its Martian winter stationary on the northern slope of Greeley Haven. It tilted its solar panels to absorb maximum sunlight. During this stopover, the rover performed several science activities, including snapping over 800 images of its surroundings. Many of these images were combined into this 360-degree panorama.
