South Polar Vortex Discovered on Titan
NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
A vortex of haze is forming over Titan's south pole. This natural-color image from the Cassini spacecraft shows the light-colored feature. Cassini was able to see the southern vortex because its orbit around Saturn was recently adjusted. Scientists are still trying to understand what created this unusual atmospheric phenomenon on Saturn's largest moon.
