The Great Nebula in Orion, M42, is a bustling neighborhood of recently formed stars, hot gas, and dark dust. This illusory-color composite, taken with the WISE observatory, shows the nebula in four colors of infrared light. The power behind much of the Orion Nebula comes from the stars of the Trapezium star cluster, visible near the center.
