COSMIC MESSAGE
The Great Nebula in Orion, also known as M42, is a well-known star-forming region. Located 1,500 light-years away, it features glowing gas surrounding hot, young stars at the edge of a vast interstellar molecular cloud. This deep image, highlighted by oxygen and hydrogen emissions, clearly shows the wisps and sheets of dust and gas. You can spot the Orion Nebula with the unaided eye near the constellation's identifiable belt.
