COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet PanSTARRS (C/2011 L4) appears next to the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) in this northern sky view. Although they look similar in brightness, the comet is a much smaller object in our solar system, while Andromeda is a galaxy far beyond our own. This image captures both celestial objects, immersed in the faint glow of the northern lights.
