COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 3628 is a spiral galaxy seen perfectly edge-on, about 35 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. Its thick disk is bisected by dark lanes of dust. This view has earned it the nickname 'The Hamburger Galaxy.' It is part of a group of galaxies that includes M65 and M66.
