NGC 2392, discovered by William Herschel in 1787, is a planetary nebula nicknamed the 'Eskimo Nebula'. This combined image from Hubble and Chandra shows the complex gas clouds in visible light and X-rays. The central hot gas, seen in pink X-rays, is still not fully understood.
