COSMIC MESSAGE
The sky above Kirkjufell mountain in Iceland shows a beautiful display of meteors and aurorae. This image, taken in mid-December, captures the faint colors of the aurora borealis, made apparent by a long exposure. The fjord in front of the mountain had just begun to freeze, adding to the winter scene.
