This Hubble and Chandra composite shows spiral galaxy ESO 137-001, 220 million light-years away. It is hurtling through the galaxy cluster Abell 3627 at nearly 7 million kilometers per hour. Ram pressure strips away the galaxy's gas and dust, overcoming its gravity. The image captures this distant galaxy through the foreground stars of our Milky Way.
