COSMIC MESSAGE
Our Sun has become very active, as shown in this image taken two weeks ago. It displays numerous tumultuous regions, including active sunspot regions AR 2036 and AR 2038. Just four years ago, the Sun was emerging from an unusually quiet Solar Minimum. This image was recorded in hydrogen alpha light, inverted, and false-colored, showing spicules covering much of the Sun's face.
