A beautiful moonbow shines above the western horizon in this deserted beach scene from Molokai Island, Hawaii. The lights along the horizon are from Honolulu and cities on Oahu, about 30 miles away. Like a rainbow, a moonbow is produced by light internally reflected in raindrops. Here, moonlight, rather than sunlight, creates the arc.
