Mimas, one of Saturn's smaller moons, bears a massive impact crater named Herschel. The crater spans about 130 kilometers, nearly a third of the moon's diameter. Mimas is mostly water ice, and its low gravity allowed such a large surface feature to form without shattering the moon.
