This stereo view of the Moon was recorded by Apollo 17 commander Eugene Cernan. He took these photographs on December 11, 1972, from the Lunar Module Challenger, one orbit before landing. The image shows the Apollo 17 landing site in the Taurus-Littrow Valley. You can use red/blue glasses to see the three-dimensional effect.
