COSMIC MESSAGE
The globular cluster Palomar 12 was not born in the Milky Way. Its stars are younger than those in other clusters of our galaxy, and its motion suggests it came from the Sagittarius Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy. That small satellite galaxy is losing its stars to the Milky Way's gravitational tides. Palomar 12 is now a part of our galaxy's halo.
