45 Days in the Sun

This intriguing solargraph was created by a pinhole camera in a field near Budapest, Hungary. For 45 days, from January 11 to February 25, 2013, it continuously exposed a piece of photosensitive paper. An old Antonov An-2 biplane stood still while the Sun rose and set. The Sun's trail arcs steadily higher each day, as the exposure began about 20 days after the winter solstice.
