COSMIC MESSAGE
The Great Wall of China snakes through this mountainous landscape, north of Beijing, under an almost full moon. This moon was the smallest and faintest full moon of 2015, being near its farthest point from Earth. The ancient wall itself is the subject of a myth: that it is visible from the lunar surface. However, even from low Earth orbit, it is not.
