COSMIC MESSAGE

The Virgo Cluster is the closest large cluster of galaxies to our Milky Way, about 70 million light-years distant. It spans over 5 degrees in the sky, about ten times the width of a full Moon. Containing over 2,000 galaxies, it exerts a noticeable gravitational pull on our Local Group.
