Sharpless 308: Star Bubble

COSMIC MESSAGE

Sharpless 2-308 is a cosmic bubble blown by the fast winds of a Wolf-Rayet star. This massive star, visible near the center, is over 20 times the mass of our Sun. The bubble is about 60 light-years across and lies in the constellation Canis Major, 5,200 light-years away.
