Cirrus over Paris

NASA APOD · Bertrand Kulik
COSMIC MESSAGE

The sky over Paris shows wispy cirrus clouds, high in Earth's atmosphere. These clouds are typically white or gray, reflecting sunlight, but can appear dark at sunset. Cirrus clouds are so thin you can often see stars through them. They can form above storm clouds, sometimes signaling a change in weather.
