Meteors vs Supermoon

COSMIC MESSAGE
Geminid meteors competed with supermoonlight on December 13/14. Bits of dust from asteroid 3200 Phaethon, traveling at 35 kilometers per second, produce these meteor streaks. Only the brightest were visible during the supermoon. This composite image shows a few meteors from the shower's radiant in Gemini.
