COSMIC MESSAGE

This mosaic spans almost 20 degrees of Earth's sky, near the edge of the Orion-Eridanus superbubble. This region is filled with looping, expanding shells of gas and dust embedded in molecular clouds within the Milky Way. The expansive Seagull Nebula is visible on the left, with NGC 2327 forming the head and IC 2177 making up the wings and body. This nebula is about 3,800 light-years away.
