COSMIC MESSAGE

The Jellyfish Nebula, also known as IC 443, is a faint and elusive supernova remnant. This telescopic mosaic reveals its arcing ridge of emission and dangling tentacles. The cosmic jellyfish is the expanding debris cloud from a massive star that exploded, with light from the event reaching Earth about 30,000 years ago. Bright star Eta Geminorum anchors the scene below.
