COSMIC MESSAGE
Centaurus A, also known as NGC 5128, is the closest active galaxy to Earth, about 11 million light-years away. Spanning over 60,000 light-years, this peculiar elliptical galaxy is likely the result of a collision between two normal galaxies. This collision created a jumble of star clusters and prominent dark dust lanes, with a supermassive black hole at its center.
