The Cassini spacecraft captured this view of Saturn in 2005, showing moons, rings, and shadows. Tethys and Mimas are visible on either side of Saturn's thin rings, which are seen nearly edge-on. Dark shadows of the wide rings stretch across the top of Saturn, their complexity brought out in this violet-light image.
