Reflections of Venus and Moon
NASA APOD · Sanderphil Urban Observatory
COSMIC MESSAGE
Venus and the crescent Moon appeared together near the western horizon last Thursday. This photo, taken from a beach in Santa Marinella, Italy, shows their reflections on the calm sea. The shimmering columns of light on the water are caused by reflections from the gentle waves. This celestial conjunction was visible around the world.
