Complex Jupiter

NASA's Juno mission is finding Jupiter to be more complex than expected. Its magnetic field has several poles embedded in a complicated network, more convoluted in the north than the south. Juno's radio measurements show that Jupiter's atmosphere has structure hundreds of kilometers deep, well below the upper cloud deck. This giant planet, about 484 million miles from the Sun, still holds many mysteries.
