COSMIC MESSAGE
This sundial, at the Very Large Array, commemorates radio astronomy pioneer Ronald Bracewell. It uses pieces from a solar mapping radio telescope array Bracewell built near Stanford. Sundials use shadows to measure Earth's rotation, and this one marks time with the invisible waves of the cosmos.
