COSMIC MESSAGE
A Perseid meteor, appearing as a green streak, passed directly in front of the Andromeda galaxy in 2016. This sand-sized rock from space entered Earth's atmosphere, flaring several times as it broke apart. The green color comes, in part, from the meteor's composition as it burns up.
