Mont Blanc, Meteor, and Milky Way

NASA APOD · Adrien Mauduit
COSMIC MESSAGE

High above Mont Blanc, Europe's tallest peak, the faint star fields and dark rifts of the Milky Way stretch across the sky. Despite thin clouds, bright Saturn and Antares, the alpha star of Scorpius, shine through. This long exposure captures the galaxy's central bulge, flanked by these distant lights.
