Window Seat over Hudson Bay

This aurora over Hudson Bay was captured from a window seat on a night flight. The curtains of light draped a colorful glow across the sky. The image is a stack of six short exposures, showing the shimmering aurora borealis just as the high-altitude sunrise illuminated the northeastern horizon. A Perseid meteor also streaked beneath the handle stars of the Big Dipper.
