COSMIC MESSAGE
This colorful skyscape is the Cave Nebula, also known as Sharpless 155, in the constellation Cepheus. It is about 2,400 light-years away, and spans about 10 light-years across. The bright walls of gas are ionized by ultraviolet light from the hot young stars around it. This region is part of a massive molecular cloud along the plane of our Milky Way Galaxy.
