For 55 consecutive nights, from July 1 to August 24, 2018, the Mediterranean skies were at least partly clear. This composite image tracks Saturn's movement through the evening sky, with an exposure from each night. Through August, the planet's apparent retrograde motion slowed and drifted to the right, against a background of stars.
