Barnard 150: Seahorse in Cepheus

COSMIC MESSAGE

This dark cloud, Barnard 150, is known as the Seahorse Nebula due to its distinctive shape. It is located about 1,200 light-years away in the constellation Cepheus, silhouetted against a background of stars. Within this molecular cloud, new low-mass stars are forming from collapsing cores of dust and gas.
