Swimming on Jupiter
NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
On October 29, 2018, the Juno spacecraft made its 16th close approach to Jupiter, diving within 3,500 kilometers of its turbulent cloud tops. JunoCam captured this swirling cloud feature, shaped remarkably like a dolphin, as the spacecraft cruised between 20,000 and 50,000 kilometers above the planet's southern latitudes. This 'dolphin' appears to swim along Jupiter's darker South South Temperate Belt.
