COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet Iwamoto, C/2018 Y1, shows a greenish coma in this image, taken on February 4 from the Mount John Observatory. The comet swept quickly across a background of stars and distant galaxies in the constellation Virgo. Its rapid motion relative to the background objects caused a blurred streak in the long exposure.
