M95: Spiral Galaxy with an Inner Ring

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Messier 95 is a beautiful barred spiral galaxy, one of the closer examples we can observe. This image, combining data from Hubble and ground-based telescopes, reveals sprawling spiral arms with bright blue star clusters and dark dust lanes. A short bar crosses the galaxy's center, but what fascinates astronomers is the circumnuclear ring within it.
