Noctilucent Clouds, Reflections, and Silhouettes

Noctilucent clouds float so high in the atmosphere that they can be seen well after sunset. Even when it's night on the ground, sunlight still illuminates these clouds from below. Normally too dim to be visible, they appear during the summer when conditions are right. These unusual clouds are a striking sight in the twilight sky.
