COSMIC MESSAGE
This is an aurora, captured above Grotfjord, Norway, in 2012. Five days prior, a large coronal mass ejection from the Sun sent charged particles toward Earth. Some of these particles impacted Earth's magnetosphere, causing these spectacular lights. To some, this shimmering green display resembles an eagle.
