This 251-second exposure captures the early flight of an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral. Launched at 6:13 AM, the rocket's plume at altitude is brightly lit by the Sun, still below the eastern horizon. The Indian River Lagoon in Palm Shores, Florida, reflects the subtle colors and warming glow of the pre-dawn sky.
