M33, also known as the Triangulum Galaxy, is a face-on spiral galaxy in the small constellation Triangulum. It is over 50,000 light-years in diameter, the third largest in the Local Group of galaxies. About 3 million light-years from the Milky Way, M33 is thought to be a satellite of the Andromeda Galaxy.
