COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet ATLAS, discovered this summer, was captured in this image sweeping through Orion. It was expected to make its closest approach to Earth on November 14. This telephoto image blends exposures registered on the comet with exposures registered on Orion's stars. The comet is not as bright as Comet NEOWISE, but it can still be spotted with binoculars.
