COSMIC MESSAGE
These three bright nebulae are in Sagittarius, a crowded starfield of the central Milky Way. M8, the large nebula below and right of center, and colorful M20 near the top, were cataloged by Charles Messier. The third emission region, NGC 6559, is left of M8 and separated by a dark dust lane. All three are stellar nurseries about five thousand light-years away.
