NASA APOD · Chuck Ayoub
COSMIC MESSAGE

A new spot of light in Cassiopeia is a nova, a star that suddenly brightened. This one, Nova Cas 2021, became bright enough to see with the unaided eye. It brightened in March, then unexpectedly in May, and has fluctuated since.
