Massive young stars in NGC 6188, about 4,000 light years away in Ara, sculpt the dark dust and gas clouds. These clouds glow as an emission nebula, powered by the stars that formed there only a few million years ago. The region sits at the edge of a large molecular cloud, which is mostly unseen at visible wavelengths.
