Dancing Ghosts: Curved Jets from Active Galaxies

These unusual, curled jets are emitted from the supermassive black holes at the centers of two active galaxies. Astronomers found them using the Australian Square Kilometer Array Pathfinder, or ASKAP, radio telescope. This new data helps map the evolution of galaxies, showing structures unlike those previously observed.
