This composite image, taken from southern Brazil, shows Venus near the western horizon after sunset. Venus appears immersed in a cone of zodiacal light, which is sunlight scattered by dust along the Solar System's ecliptic plane. This phenomenon is most visible from either hemisphere of Earth during twilight hours.
