COSMIC MESSAGE
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched at sunrise, creating an unusual image as it transited the Sun. The rocket's exhaust plume glows beyond its projection onto the distant Sun. The rocket itself appears jagged, and the Sun's lower edge shows peculiar, drip-like ripples. This effect is due to atmospheric seeing, where turbulence in Earth's atmosphere distorts light.
