COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet C/2017 K2 (PanSTARRS) shared a telescopic view with globular star cluster Messier 10 on July 15, 2022. M10 is about 14,000 light-years away. The comet, however, was only about 15 light-minutes from Earth, showing a greenish coma and a dust tail. Charles Messier cataloged M10 in the 18th century as something that was definitely not a comet.
