Herschel Crater on Mimas

Mimas, one of Saturn's moons, has a massive impact crater named Herschel. This crater is 130 kilometers across, on a moon only 400 kilometers in diameter. The Cassini spacecraft captured this view in 2010 during a close pass, just 10,000 kilometers from Mimas. The false-color image shows that Herschel's landscape is slightly different from the heavily cratered terrain.
